We’re excited to introduce the biggest XOAP update yet — a massive leap forward in performance, design, and usability. This release doesn’t just improve the platform; it sets the stage for a new era of features, modules, and innovation within XOAP.
Complete re-design of our design system #
We’ve fully reworked the XOAP design system from the ground up. This includes new UI components, layout principles, spacing rules, and typography adjustments, aiming for a more cohesive and scalable user interface across all modules.

New data table functionality for multi-selections #
The data tables now support native multi-selection capabilities, allowing users to perform bulk operations more efficiently.

Removed settings area #
The legacy Settings section has been deprecated and removed. Configuration options have been redistributed to contextually relevant areas within the platform to reduce complexity and improve discoverability.
New theme switcher functionality #
A new global theme switcher allows users to toggle between light and dark modes. The theme preference is persisted per user and supports live switching without requiring a page reload.
Workspace name added to navigation bar #
The current workspace name is now visible in the top navigation bar, improving orientation for users working across multiple environments or tenants.
Renamed module areas to increase clarity #
Several module names and labels have been updated to better reflect their purpose and functionality, helping users navigate the platform more intuitively.

New image definition details #
We’ve added support for more granular image definitions management, allowing users to change specific image properties such as operating system, Provisioner Roles, and to see dependent resources directly in the details.

Better performance in Scripted Actions #
Execution speed and response handling in Scripted Actions has been optimized. This results in faster execution times and improved stability, especially in complex workflows.
Overall performance improvements of complete XOAP platform #
We’ve rolled out various backend and frontend optimizations that enhance platform responsiveness, reduce memory usage, and improve load times across modules.
New DSC Baseline module 0.1.15 (required) #
The updated DSC Baseline module introduces minor bug fixes and compatibility improvements. This version is now required for all XOAP deployments to ensure consistent baseline configuration behavior.
Please note: this is a breaking change. All existing DSC configurations must be recompiled using the new baseline module to ensure compatibility. Failure to do so may result in unexpected behavior or failed deployments. The updated module brings improved stability and aligns with upcoming enhancements to the DSC engine.
For details on the new module version, see the DSC Modules documentation.
