Groups #
This area shows all available software installation groups.
Groups are used to logically combine configurations that are needed for a specific use case. You can create groups for prerequisites for a Citrix VDA installation or group baseline applications. During group creation, you also create the application configurations.
Use groups to logically combine application configurations and order them as needed. The installation order is taken from the group order.
Table view #
Via the table view, you can access the following information:
- Name: This is the name of the group.
- Description: This is the description of the group.
- Application: This is the number of applications within the group.
- Tags: Keywords assigned to the application.
- Created by: Group creator username.
- Created at: Date and time of the Group creation.
- Updated by: Username of the member who did the last Group update.
- Updated at: Date and time of the last group update.
Action menu #
These are the actions that are available for the specific configuration. To access them, click on ⚙️:
Edit #
With this action, you can edit the group.
Download #
This action downloads a PowerShell script to your computer that you can run on your node or nodes to install the application group.
Delete #
This action deletes the corresponding group.
Add groups #
To add a group, click on the + button.
A new window opens:
Specify a Group Name and optionally insert a Description and select Tags. Specification of group names makes it easier for your colleagues to find the right group and you can additionally search through the descriptions.
Add applications to the group by clicking on Available Applications and on the + button next to the application you want to add.
This will open another dialog with the available parameters for this application. Make the changes you want and click Save.
When you added all the applications you wanted click Save to save the group.
Check assigned applications and parameters by clicking on the Selected Applications tab.
You can delete applications from the group by clicking on the – button.
You can change the order of the application installation by dragging the items to the desired location.
If you want to change the parameters of an application, click on the > button.
Click Save to save all changes.
